Hello Jeremy,

I didn't play in the schools team in 74-75 as I went to the wrong school and never got a look in. Went to CNS in 76-77 and things changed, and after a 5-0 drubbing by Hertfordshire at Hitchin I finally managed to take Paul Dungar's goalkeeping spot in the Norfolk under 19's for the rest of the season, culminating in winning the East Midlands Youth Combination against Leicestershire under floodlights at Kings Lynn.

Played for 3 years in the dominant Norwich Lads Club team of the period, in which a couple of cups were surrendered to Lakeford Rangers but not much else.
