Christian League

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if the Christian League still exists? I used to play for Holy Trinity yet I can't find the old links that this site used to carry and was looking to get in touch with the team again.

Quite honestly I talk a load of pointless drivel! (According to Smudger).

Chicken

The league is still going strong and now has a thriving youth section as well. Sadly HT dropped out of the league at the end of last season, but if you are interested in what is happening follow the links on Petes reply.

Do you have any names of the players from the team that you played in, it may be some are still around, playing for other teams in the league.

I played for Holy Trinity for roughly 5 years. Was always fun even tho, until our last season last year, we werent exactly the best. I remember it being under the good leadership of Chris Linds. Committed and always willing to help out where possible. We had good relationships with the other clubs, even tho we had our run ins with Mount Zion each year. I wish HT were still around, couldnt beat playin down Sloughbottom or Eaton Park on saturday mornings!

I played for Wroxham Road BB until our sad demise a couple of years ago. When I started (late 80's) Trinity were the team to beat. We certainly had our era of domination (ish) then Mount Zion slowly caught up and started whupping us on a regular basis!. Wensum were pretty good for a while too. Happy days - glad to hear it's still going strong.

I played for Norwich A.O.G. during the early to mid 80's, and we had a bit of a roller-coaster time, but it was a good time. Mount Zion were the team to beat in those days and they mostly turned us over! Good to hear that the league is still going strong!

I played in goal for East Dereham for 8 years, was on the League Comittee and was Results Secretary and 'Press Officer' for 3.

We won the Plate in my last season (2003) but suffered a few thrashings in the early years!!!!

I don't think anyone covers the games for the Press now, no-one took over when I packed in.

Wroxham Road were always quality, the lad Roger (up front, twin) ALWAYS scored past me.

Zion had a good front two in Robert Knights and Jon Norman.

Meadow Way had Andy Starkings all over the pitch, Top Man!!!!!

Is Chris Cate still involved in the league? If so, anyone got his e-mail address????

Or Andy Starkings?????
