Well the reason we are here discussing this is because brum messed up good work in the summer window and watford are in the champs (like us) for a reason. Derby are a disgrace. We aren't the only ones that are let down, but then again at least the boards of their clubs showed some ambition in the first place.

Did Watford show more "ambition" than us in The Premiership?

Did the "ambition" shown by Derby score them more points than us or are they the worst team in Premiership history?

Does the "ambition" shown by the Birmingham board excuse their stupidity in trying to sell the club to Carson Yeung on the eve of the season thus undermining their manager and forcing him to leave for a rival club who subsequently avoided relegation?

I'm not trying to excuse the actions of our board over the last few years but what does "ambition" mean?

Both watford and derby were backed heavily to make sure they got up. They did. When we got promoted it seemed more of a "oh, we are doing pretty good let's put some money in".

Derby just bought the wrong players. Watford got the right players but couldn't get them to play good enough as a team.

And to be honest to do with brum, you haven't bothered to read my earlier post which is exactly why I think the brum board have been a bit foolish.

When we got promoted, we could have bought ashton (which worthy wanted to do). For some reason we didn't buy him, now if a manager wants a player bad enough to out-bid liverpool and then buy him in jan anyway then I think that says how much he was wanted here, so why didn't we get him. My suspisions are the board who have conviently at every oppotunity said to the fans "don't expect us to do this [add acheivement]".

Derby spent a lot of money last year to get promoted and have overacheived. Mind you, I'd rather their overachievement than our unacheivement.

Its pathetic.  What are they protesting about, getting relegated or not spending money, becuase they have spent decent money.  As far as I am concerned they are all arseholes, we deserve to protest for many reasons, they, in my opinion do not....

Brummies sound like they do for a reason. Because they are stupid. They are protesting because they got relegated, they cant accept it like true fans would. I hope Brady and co do decide to jump ship because they have done nothing but the best for the club. I must admit I cant stand any of them, they are all as thick as thieves, but they clearly have ambition for the club and no one can knock that.

They protested because of the Carson yeuong takeover was drawn out over the season and that was the boards fault and affected the team. Badly handled takeovers are not the players or fans fault are they? Maybe old Delia and co will do us a favour and show em all how to sensibly deal with a takeover.

Of course they are Arthur. I suppose had they of stayed up, the protests would still be taking place? They cant accept relegation plain and simple.

This is the first and only message Board I have 'joined', and I did so because I was so upset at the way things were going this season. I looked for solace in my fellow fans. What I found was shallow, short-sighted opinions from alot of people, although thankfully some insightful and coherant posts too (most of which seem to come from fans who live abroad, and maybe who see the wider picture). I never really had an opinion about the Board until this season but after reading posts on this site, I have to say I am now for the first time actively pro Board in a general kind of way. Comments about 'little old Norwich' reflect a real inferiority complex (a trait I have noticed for years within our support), and views about Delia seem tinged with petty prejudice, and when cheap shots are made about lack of ambition and gutlessness, it appears to me that such comments could be described as 'projection' (ref Psycho-analytical theory i.e they are projecting their own characteristics onto others). Have a good summer. cheerio.

Re: Birmingham fans' protests at their board

half the problem on here is you Percy's are so self righteous believing every thing you say is right, believing anything said against Queen Delia and her cronies is treason, that nobody can be a city fan and question or criticise how the club is run. its a forum for crying out loud, for debate argument banter and a laugh where possible. We are all fans with differing views, thats what makes the world go round and after all is said and done there is not a person on here i would not share a pint with, some of you need to take a chill pill.

There wouldn't be another club in the country who's fans would put up with what we've had to endure over the last few years without protesting against the board.

Lol yeah because we've had to put up with loads over the recent few years, especially that terrible time of the play off final, and then winning the league, and then an amazing season in the Premiership where we were unlucky to get relegated!! I don't know how us fan's put up with the board then! and then they've supported all of our managers with as much money as we can afford, and they've built on Carrow Road to make it look amazing. I often hear fans of clubs such as Leeds, Bournemouth, Cardiff, Southampton etc saying "times our bad here, but thank god we don't have Norwich City's board!"

In other words guys, we have it quite good here at Norwich City, try supporting one of those other clubs!

Unlucky to be relegated? The lowest points for safety in premiership history, the most improtant game of the season and we lost 6-0 to an average Fulham side, yeah very unlucky. Perhaps if they had coughed up 1m for crouch who they thought wasnt worth the price instead of £750,00 for Doherty or signed Ashton in August we may have stayed up. The board failed us in the premiership and have cocked things up ever since.

The only thing I would say to the above is regarding Ashton. I thought the only reason we got him in January was because he'd scored 20 goals between august and december. Before that he was relatively unknown, wasn't he? Or have I got that wrong. I just can't remember his name before Jan 2005.

Ashton was being linked with man u and liverpool the year before.
