Never mind the can, until they're seen in Asda I won't believe it.

My understanding is that these players are our players. The 'near as dam it' line I gathered to mean pen to paper when the window opens and that sort of thing.

I am really excited if this is true, but Norwich for the 15 years ive supported them have never had four players signed up without anyone knowing.

How reliable would you say your source is? and in what sort of capacity?

If, as the Manager suggests, he is trying to attract Premiership quality players I think you'd better keep an eye on M&S and Waitrose as well. You could be looking in the wrong place - or not as the case may be!

The last time we signed four players at the same time I think they included Derveld, Der Waard and Dalglish, let's hope these ones are of a higher standard.

The guys been right before. Its a good point that somehow we have these four players signed without anyone knowing. But then how many times in recent years have we signed players out of the blue? And been linked to players that we probably had no intention of every going near?

Indifferent [:|] Re: IN THE CAN
With the salary offered to prospective targets for NCFC - you'll probably see any player keen to enlist at Carra, out shopping in Lidl, QD, Aldi, Poundland, Kwik Save or Primark......And having some lunch at a tea-stall on Norwich market.....
"Give 'em enough rope"......

Re: IN THE CAN

If johnho is right then we have four players all but signed. I wonder who they could be? Judging by the lack of any media coverage on these players, the question is why have their respective agents have not gone public in a bid to get better deals for their players and therefore a larger slice for themselves. Think about it, when is the last time that a player was not bandied around from gossip column to forum to back page, especially when we are concerned. We read about our supposed interest in a player, then suddenly everyone else is interested too and we lose out!

So if Johnho is right who are these mysterious four players, players without nefarious agents, players from abroad or players no one has heard of?

Is there another answer?

Re: IN THE CAN
I really hope Johnho is right, not just because it would be good news for the team but because of the people here being completly reidiculous towards him. he claims to have heard something, hes actually coming back to the thread with more information when he has it and appears to have a decent track record, yet people are still flaming him for it.

If hes wrong and on a wind up he's going to look really dumb and we can just ignore him, but if he's right theres going to be alot of people with egg on their faces.

Give him a break and wait and see what happens.

Kick it Off...

Polar - I have just re-read this whole thread and can not see anyone being ridiculous to JB, in fact I am quite pleasantly surprised how well everyone is treating this piece of news. Obviously having etablished forum regulars validating JB's credibility helps.

Re: IN THE CAN

I am optimistic that this guy is reliable and there could be some truth in this.

By looking at the rumours from the last week im going to guess the four players are Martin Taylor, Ryan Bertrand, Matthew Etherington and Maceo Rigters. I also think we will bid for Cork and Tyson.

Umm... did you miss the posts about how people have been looking in cans and asda such like, the 'vicious' irony of you like? though that word may be a little strong.

Maybe you've interpreted it differently to me, most people are taking it seriously but a few aren't

I for one would be very happy with that!

This doesn't article doesn't inspire much confidence, certainly doesn't give the impression that we have players and they are just waiting to announce them. I'm sure its not this bad but it sounds like Glenn is still looking at a list, surely we should be getting in there before other clubs do, I feel that speed is our only friend here because we certainly cannot compete financially, geographically or ambition wise, as has been proven in recent times.

'“We have just signed one, haven't we?” he said, referring to Fotheringham.

“He had an excellent season and he improved a lot during it. He is very reliable, has great leadership qualities and is a great person to have around."

Wish they would'nt try and persuade us that deals such as this are 'new' signings.  I understand technically they are but please.

The Kid's are o.k, at the Horse & Dray.
