The last time we signed four players at the same time I think they included Derveld, Der Waard and Dalglish, let's hope these ones are of a higher standard.    Report

But then how many times in recent years have we signed players out of the blue? And been linked to players that we probably had no intention of every going near?    Report

Judging by the lack of any media coverage on these players, the question is why have their respective agents have not gone public in a bid to get better deals for their players and therefore a larger slice for themselves. Think about it, when is the last time that a player was not bandied around from gossip column to forum to back page, especially when we are concerned. We read about our supposed interest in a player, then suddenly everyone else is interested too and we lose out!   So if Johnho is right who are these mysterious four players, players without nefarious agents, players from abroad or players no one has heard of?   Is there another answer?    Report

If hes wrong and on a wind up he's going to look really dumb and we can just ignore him, but if he's right theres going to be alot of people with egg on their faces. Give him a break and wait and see what happens. Kick it Off...    Report

Obviously having etablished forum regulars validating JB's credibility helps.    Report

By looking at the rumours from the last week im going to guess the four players are Martin Taylor, Ryan Bertrand, Matthew Etherington and Maceo Rigters. I also think we will bid for Cork and Tyson.    Report
