The Best team of a great era in the Thursday league.The first team in over a hundred years to win three successive Thursday Cups and a couple of league titles against the likes of J.J. Fun City, Post Office,R.A.F.Coltishall, British Rail, Corinthians, Police, they were all there!(for the taking). An unforgettable time with an unforgettable bunch of fellas. Thanks Lads!!!

its alan arber i also played for Sprowston Thursday in this era. i played in goal and can say we did beat allcomers over that time. we also had some very good players. Mark Andrews, Andy Viner, Richard Hatch, big brian (the centre half), Sd Matthews ( whose pub we used on many occasions), Mally Armstrong to name a few.

hi arbs its kelly hicks here nice to read your reports about sprowston thursday i can also remember playing for them in the early eighties along with people like perry cornfield mick money big brian roy bradford derek high all great blokes yr self included stood me in good stead for my terrific managerial career with my great quebec team ha ha all the best mate
