Apologies if this was the case, not my intention, I was using anecdotal evidence to illustrate a point, much as Arthur was, except i was not professing to be knowledgeable enough in the field to dismiss an entire survey by two of Britains top policing brass without even reading it.    Report

What you fail to add is the 5 chief constables of various police forces and the lords select commitee who all agree that crime has gone up since the influx of mass immigration from eastern europe. As for the links posted in earlier thread,i notice they all come from various left wing bias links. 1 in 6 prisoners are now immigrants be it legal or illigal so in a prison populalion of around 80000 it certainly suggests we have a major problem bearing in mind they only still total around a couple of percent of the whole population. Id rather buy fish and chips than Ameobi!    Report

This isn't helped, in my opinion, by the right wing press who continually s*it stir and paint Eastern Europeans as swan eating, knife wielding rapists but are often the loudest vioces when it comes to wanting and 'open and honest debate'. I stand corrected on the lords commitee, i was wrong in stating it was a crime report but surely its as much an issue?As regards to the police forces,you will find its Cambridgeshire,Lincolnshire,Northants,Bedfordhire and Essex. All counties at the brunt of the immigration influx. Maybe you would like to argue the prison stats i've quoted? Id rather buy fish and chips than Ameobi!    Report

Arthur, my last post was supposed to be conciliatory and an attempt to show you that I appreciated that immigration is a complex debate, I hadn't really intended to post on the subject again but as usual you just can't leave it. You've constantly failed to address the issues raised by others on this thread but seem to believe that that's OK. However, as soon as I fail to argue the prison stats you quoted (stats I might add that have no source provided but I'm expected to believe without question) I've lost the argument. We're never going to agree on this subject so let's just leave it at that. You obviously think you've "won", I think you've consistently spouted b******s but nobody's got hurt.
