1. You obviously didn't bother reading my post. We won in 1966 but in the period before the influx of foreign players we also failed to qualify three times and got knocked out in the first round by the USA. Kind of evens things out doesn't it Hmm [^o)].

2. The three foreigner rule only ever applied to European competition as far as I can remember. It also counted Welsh, Scottish and Irish players as foreigners and was an absolute farce. I'd like to see more young English players in the top sides as it would be good for the national team but creating chances artificially through quotas won't improve the standard of these players. This is the main problem, surely Arsene Wenger wouldn't scour the world for players such as Hleb, Rosicky and Adebayor if he could get equally gifted players who were English ?

3. It happens to all Arsenal's youngsters not just Theo Walcott. I haven't seen him complaining to the press or demanding a transfer so I guess he trusts Wenger's judgement. You probably know better though Arthur Sleep [S].

Yes i do know better and you are talking pish! Scrape that barrel mate, scrape it!

Shack Attack is absolutely spot on Arthur and you damn well know it. It is up to the English youngsters within the Arsenal squad (or should that be any Premiership squad?) to prove to Wenger that they can break into the first team and hold down a position on a regular basis. The coaching and managing down there has proved to be absolutely top notch.

Who, for example, got the best deal when Cashley Cole went to Chelsea and William Gallas went to the Gunners as part of the same deal? Who, for example, turned Thierry Henry from a good player into probably one of the world's best footballers? Hmmmmm, you might need to take a bit of time over those!

After thinking over those two questions, can you answer this one for me please? Which team is currently level on points with Manchester United and has lost only once so far this season?

I'll give you a clue shall I? It's the same team who went on a 48 match unbeaten run under the same manager they have now.

I don't think that it's Shack, or me for that matter, who is scraping the barrel here.

So you clearly dont agree with Sebb Blatter when he recently said the English national team has been ruined by the influx of money and foreign players in the Prem? You know sebb,he's the head of the world governing body of a sport called Football. You honestly believe that the influx of foreign players hasn;t effected home grown English players? Truely laughable. Arsenal have not got patience to produce the potential of young English players, they must compete in the European cup every year to pay off the stadium,so they do not hang on to the youngsters if they can go out and buy a foreigner for a few million. Its got so bad that we now find ourselves checking out keepers like cudachini, who having not played for Italy and residing here for 10 years,is now eligible for England!

Are you truly clueless Arthur? "Arsenal have not got the patience to produce the potential of young English players, they go and buy a foreigner for a few million." That is a ridiculous statement. Did you happen to notice who started for Arsenal yesterday? I'll give you a clue, his surname is Walcott. They seem to be persevering with him by bringing him on slowly instead of thrusting him into the first team, game in, game out which has not benefitted many young players except of course Mr Rooney. Did us playing Chris Martin every game for a while benefit him? In the short term yes. Look at him now. Unfulfilled potential. As for your comments re not having the patience, why does he have the patience to pesevere with foreigners and not English players then? Maybe due to a deficiency in talented English youngsters? Look at Bendtner, Fabregas, both are around 19/20, both benefitted from Arsene's policy of slowly blooding youngsters. He pesevered with them alright didnt he? And if he can get a player of the ilk of Bendtner or Fabregas for a few mill as youngsters and develop them, why should he pay a few mill for english players of the Billy Sharp ilk? British clubs overprice young talent, foreign clubs do this to a lesser extent...it's those bloody foreigners undercutting everyone again, thats what it is Arthur *Shakes fist and harks back to the good old days...* Wink <img src=" src="/cs/emoticons/emotion-5.gif">

It amazes me Arthur that one so much in favour of promoting England and all things English you have such difficulty with our beautiful language.

"influx of foreign players hasn't effected home grown English players" ?

If you "effect" a small change to this sentence and substitute "affected" the sentence suddenly means something!

OK I'm quibbling, and netiquette demands that we do not criticise each other's spelling/punctuation etc, but couldn't resist this.  You must try harder.

Who is Sebb Blatter? I've never heard of him. Sepp's brother perhaps?

How about you properly answer the questions I put to you? Or is that too much to ask?

Never said I disagree with Mr Blatter, the quota might work for some Premiership teams, it might not for others who knows?

Do you think that the foreign players have affected English players of the likes of Rooney, Gerrard, Micah Richards, Michael Johnson, Joe Hart (last 3 all from Man City)Joe Cole, SWP?? Now THAT is truely laughable! As for your reference to Cudicini, why is that such a bad thing just because he's not of English origin? Has it not got more to do with the fact that the English keepers that have come through are generally not good enough to perform on the international stage?

Just give this thread up Arthur please, for the sake of your own sanity as well as other people's. You're just making yourself look more and more silly the more you go on and on.

Well put, kick it off. 100% correct, but be wary of Arthur trying to compare a mid-table Championship club (Southampton, who sold him to Arsenal at the tender age of 16) to a team challenging for domestic and European glory.

If you look back through this thread you'll see that every time one of Arthur's arguments gets shot down he simply moves the goalposts.

So far he's blamed our country's problems on asylum seekers, immigrants (both legal and illegal), Muslims, Labour, Tories, the PC lobby, anarchists, the Anti Nazi League, the Anti Monarchy League, self loathing leftie liberals, Rafa Benitez and Arsene Wenger. I'm fairly confident that if we continue he'll eventually end up accusing The Chuckle Brothers of ruining the NHS purely by virtue of them being the only people he's yet to blame something on Wink [;)].

The enemies of British Nationalism continue to parrot the claim that the BNP is a “racist party.” This claim is most often repeated because the BNP unashamedly addresses itself to the issues and concerns of the indigenous British population, and because it seeks to ensure that British people remain the majority population in this country.  Opponents point to the fact that the BNP has an all-white membership, and that we address issues concerning white people. If the BNP is racist for holding this position, then, I would suggest, all of the following organisations - some of them state funded - are also “racist” because they too address themselves exclusively to the issues and concerns of their respective communities:

1. Watford Asian Community care

2. Watford African Caribbean Association

3. National Black Police Association

4. Metropolitan Black Police Association

5. Black Londoners Forum

6. Black Information Link (BLINK)

7. Operation Black Vote

8. Federation of Black Housing Organisations (FBHO)

9. Black Training Enterprise Group

10. Southwark Black Heritage Organisation

11. The Action Group for Irish Youth

12. Asians In Media (AIM)

13. Barfi Culture (Asians)

14. Black Britain

15. Black Enterprise

16. Black net Community

17. The Black Presence In Britain

18. Black Search

19. Black UK Online

20. Board Of Deputies of British Jews

21. Chinatown Online

22. Clickwalla (Asian)

23. Dimsum (Chinese)

24. Doncaster Chinese

25. CEMVO

26. Every Generation (Black)

27. Jewish.Co.UK

28. Jewish Telegraph

29. MMLondon (Asian)

30. Red Hot Curry (Asian)

31. National Association of Nigerian Communities - UK (NANC)

32. Barnsley Black and Ethic Minority Initiative

Have you noticed how the media NEVER calls any of these organisations “racist” even though they are openly organised along ethnic lines and stand for the rights of their respective communities?

It seems as if every group has the right to have an organisation speaking up for its rights - EXCEPT the indigenous British people.

In reality, none of these organisations are “racist” — each and every community has the inalienable right to look after its own interests.

This includes the indigenous British folk, and the BNP is proud to be the party which stands up for the rights our folk and country, in exactly the same way that all of the above organisations stand up for their folk.

Yet if you highlight the inequalities these organisations throw up, you are then labelled as a racist or trouble maker. Nice to see that the BNP supports organisations doing the same sort of work for Native Britons.
I’ve always wondered how big an uproar there’d be if the following were started / publicised-

White entertainment television (BET – Black Entertainment television, US TV channel)
Music of White origin awards (Music of Black Origin Awards – MOBO’s)
Miss White America / England (Miss Black America}

So please shack and Big mack  tell me what your thought are on this argument that you have all chosen to ignore? Bit too clever for you is it?

Doubtful AW, just because they punctuate and spell properly, does not make them one and the same, merely shows a level of education, and competence.
Today's paper reveals Poles score highest on Britishness test introduced by home office, ahead of swedes, danes and of course, BRITS. what do you make of this? As for ganging up on you Arthur, you sound like Hillary Clinton after Obama and Edwards "ganged up" on her, your definition of "ganging up" seems to be the same, two people putting across reasoned arguments that agree and complement each other in response to your deluded ramblings constitute "ganging up" ARE YOU IN FACT HILLARY CLINTON, USING ANOTHER ID IN A BID TO MAKE YOURSELF APPEAR MORE WORLDLY?!Stick out tongue <img src=">

can't remember any of the organisations on your list putting up candidates at general elections Arthur.  That's the difference between them and the BNP.

You didn't put the Mothers' Union,  Stonewall or Greenpeace on the list - they all represent very specific groups as well.....................
