Wind in the Barclay

With apologies to Kenneth Graham

When the Smudge stood up

There was panic in the boardroom

And shaking in their seats

There was crying in the Snakepit

Shrieking Delias defeat

When the Smudge stood up

When the Smudge stood up

There was outing of the manager

And demonstrations in the streets

There was panic in the dressing room

And banner waving in the seats

When the Smudge stood up

Bang go the drums

The trumpets are tooting

The policemen are saluting

The strikers they are shooting

And the motor cars are hooting

When the Smudge stands up

Shout hooray

Let ever fan in Carrow Road Shout hard

In honour of our Hero

Of which we are so proud

For IT's Smudgers GREAT DAY

Big Smile [:D]

How can something be sadistic and benign?  They are diametric opposites.   Nasty and kind.  You might as well say that it is funny and miserable.   Mind you Smudger is undoubtedly miserable and many people find him funny.

Or a well written parody.
