I think it says a lot about where we are when you notice that only Adam Drury remains of the regular players from our Championship winning season. Is it really that long ago? We have 3 left from the Premiership season and our first season back down. We have a few more left from last season but only 4 of those actually started the season with us.
More worrying is that 20 (including youth team graduates) of the 33 players that were registered in our squad last season have now gone and Lappin is likely to be added to that list.
Let's not go into this seasons turnaround but suffice to say that at present we have 10 players who would have been considered regulars this season and that includes Lappin (going no doubt), Drury (injured) and Chadwick (injured). Of the remaining 7 Fozzy and the Doc are out of contract.
Roeder has a massive job to do in the summer but let's hope he can start to bring some stability to the club because that's what we need.
