The new back four next season i heard. Very good at mopping up, very experienced and also have attacking prowess being able to thread the defence like a sowing needle. Linda is carrying a long standing groin injury but should be ok. Sue is unfortunately in hospital as we speak getting a new hip but should be ready for pre season. Look forward to the clean sheets. (or not in Lillians case)

The rumours that Barbara has been a leaking are darn true I tell you bors. I spoke to Glenny Bor yesterday and he's very happy with my progress after my hip op. Neil Reynolds, bless him reckons I can start booting a football round at the start of July so therefore I should be fit for the first game of the season. To be totally honest though the last time I played football was before my life changing operation of '74 when I then known as Steve, so I may be slightly rusty. But we shall see won't me my lovely ol' bors, I can't be any worse that donkey everyone calls Gary can I?
