What about Joe Mattock

Joseph "Joe" Mattock (born May 15, 1990) is an English footballer currently playing for Leicester City. He plays as a defender and has represented England at under 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 & 21 Level.

seems a prospect, but may become mor of a first team player now leicester are down.

also if we had the chance id have kenton back he is much more a steady player than semmy

Joe Mattock is a future star and i cant see him joining a CCC team when he leaves us, like i imagine he will soon unfortunately, Villa have shown interest in him and Stearman and The Hammers also made a bid in January, he is too good for L1 and i would want about 5m+ for him, would have wanted a lot more if we had stayed up or kept hold of him for a few more years.

I dont really know that much about Mattock, but he seems to have good pedigree. I do however know that i think a lot about Stearman, for the last 2/3 seasons, i have been wanting Norwich to sign him, he is a really talented player, who is the kind of candidate that we need to be looking at, we moan about our players not having that quality when passing, or in general play. I think he might be expensive, even though Leicester have been relegated Mandaric is a shrewd man and wont be selling for peanuts...

sorry people joe mattock is a no go.

i met the leicester city head physio (dave rennie) on holiday and premiship clubs are targetting him. He also told me that they wont let him go for less than 2 million.

But he did say that matty fryatt and howard and dj campbell( dont even think about it, most overated player ever) have been told they can leave the club and as for proof i read the text from matty fryatt on dave rennines mobile.

The one thing i have against this tho is our inability to turn the best 16/17 year olds into the best 19/20 year olds.

I reckon Mattock is past faliure now though. Let's have him here for £1m, but only if we get other, more important targets sorted 1st.

Mattock is a promising player and will likely get snapped up by a prem club in the near future.

However, if you gave me the choice of signing him or Bertrand, I'd take Bertrand the majority of the time because I think he offers more in an attacking sense than Mattock. He's certainly quicker and better at crossing, and for me this would fit in better with the sort of football Roeder is looking to play.

Can't fault Mattock's ability, but at 2 million is a tad overpriced as it stands.
