Alan Pardew wants Norwich midfielder Mark Fotheringham to help lead Charlton back to the Premier League. (Daily Express)
Any thoughts? I'd personally be very disappointed with Fotheringham if he moved - he has, after all, been plucked from obscurity by us. Without Peter Grant taking a chance on him, he'd be playing in some obscure league in Europe. Of that I have no doubt.
i must be one of the ones who hate him then, since i'd have no qualms with him leaving so long as someone was brought in as a replacement.
for me his passing is amateur at times and he doesn't seem to keep an eye on the play and misses opportunities to push forward. you talk about energy on the pitch but, having watched all the home games this season, all i seem to notice is that when everyone else is running around he's just walking. Andy Hughes No 2.
plus i think he's an awful captain - doesn't take control of his players on the field and as I said, lacks the vision to keep an eye on the play.
if Charlton want him there must be something too him i guess? and if only we could sign Gerrard as a replacement....

Id rather have Fozzy than Andy Hughes any day of the week!
Probably just Fozzy's agent getting the new contract hiked up with regards to Charlton.
why thank you!
all i meant by Andy Hughes No 2 is that they are both central midfielders who are not good enough for us
Hughes was full of energy with no skill or end product
fozzy has the skill but not the vision or leadership skills
and its only my opinion - i trust you're a season ticket holder too and have witnessed them both trying to play?
Have to disagree with that. I think fozzy is a good leader on the field and can pick passes out very well. Will be dissapointed if he ends up going. He's a great motivator
