Who's the best TV pundit?
Not that directly related to Norwich but I was just reminded of an argument I had down the pub with mates about which football commentators are good and which aren't. I think we can all agree to forget about ITV pundits (Jim Rosenthal - wtf!) The argument was mainly over Ian Wright and Alan Hansen - it seems you either like them or hate them. So anyway, who's the best?

Alan Hansen (31.3%)

Ian Wright (28.4%)

Jeff Randell (Sky Sports News) (22.4%)

Mark Lawrenson (4.5%)

John Barnes (Channel 5) (and meant as a joke cos he's shocking!) (1.5%)

Neil Adams (sorry just mucking about now) (11.9%)

I would go for the very opinionated Garth Crooks on Score. Shearer knows what he's talking about too even though most of what he says on MOTD is pre-rehearsed.

Has to be the mighty ian wright... especially when it comes to england matches. He is the only person out of the whole lot of them that shows a slight bit of passion about his country when we win or loose. Take when we got knocked out of euro 2008, at the end of the match, as a prime example. He was on the verge of tears.

Nope, he's a Man City fan but lives in Binland. I queried the binner myth with him the other week

Don't really like any of these young whipper snappers with the exception of Shearer.

Don't think any of the rest come close to St & Greavsie.

The job of a pundit should be to point out things to us mere mortals which we may not pick up were it not for their expertise. None of the names mentioned here have ever told me anything I couldn't work out for myself. "The one thing defenders hate is pace.". Really Alan? Man doesn't like racing against man who can run faster than him, who'd have thunk it Indifferent [:|]
