I don't ever remember singing a song about Lee Croft, considering he's been playing really well recently I've come up with this:

He's Quick, He's Small

Now he's got a final ball

Lee Croft, Lee Croft

Not convinced about middle line, but it could be sung when he puts a decent ball in, in a sort of ironic way because before there never used to be any end product.

We are not interested in you, your "sleeping giant - aka haven't won anything for years" club, that thick geordie legend Shearer, the second coming of Messiah "i dont do defence" keegan, the fact bookies are offering long odds on you scoring more than you concede before the end of the season, your AWFUL support, your fans' perception newcastle have always played "attractive football", the fact that in newcastle if you own a coat you are considered a "poofter" or that angel of the north monstrosity.

Be careful with whose name you want to chant. While I quite like Lee Croft, it seems many "fans" think having a baby face means his entire body is blubber, and as such, I expect one of them to rhyme Croft with soft. Hardly accurate, but not beyond the relam of possibility.

He's short

He's soft

He runs around like he's lost

Lee Croft, Lee Croft

Such a chant would be unfair for such a hard charging player like Croft. I'm just saying, that's all.

Crofts looking alot better, and all this about his weight is ridiculous, it's simply his face which gives that perception. Anyway, he seemed to have enough pace against leicester. That's right, he got Man of the match didn't he?

Turns out blubber-boy was our best player. Idiots.

The next time we play Man City, which might be a while, I fully intend to sing (to the tune of the old Cadbury's Roses advert)

And if we ever play Preston, I fully intend to sing something similar such as

"Thank you very much for buying Browny..."

even though it took him 2 games to score at preston and 19 here, he was better than strihavka and martin and jarvis, and in fact not much worse than cureton.

BRILLIANT! Crofty the "go" man, since he charges around the pitch harder than anyone. Thumpety thump thump, thumpety thump thump, look at Crofty go. Ha, I loved it!

Can anyone tell me how a chant actually gets done the first time? My boys keep asking me, and I have no idea. Does someone hand out lyrics, does the fan organization somehow do it, or do a few guys just start and then others around join in the next time?

a group starts it and then more and more people catch on.

allthough these days it seems to be the same old chants...
