Another Scottish international, Gallacher moved to Carrow
Road on a free transfer in 2004. However, he waited almost
two seasons to make his debut, as Robert Green filled the
'keeper’s spot and had to be content with loan spells
at Gillingham and Sheffield Wednesday. But he filled Green's
shoes at the start of last season, until Nigel Worthington
left the club. New boss Peter Grant then brought in four other
stoppers to contest the number one shirt and Gallacher endured
a difficult season. Remained a dignified
member of the squad despite being dropped several times last
season. However, with Marshall and Gilks signed during the
summer, it looks like his days are numbered. He has one year
left on his City contract.
