That wonder goal against Liverpool aside, the talented teenager only made four appearances for Norwich as he failed to make the impact many onlookers expected. He spent the last couple of months of the season on loan at Colchester to give him first team experience, and will hope to have a bigger say in City’s fortunes this season.

Got a brief opportunity to shine when City were ravaged by injuries and made his mark with a brilliant goal against Liverpool. But that was a rare highlight for the Fakenham youngster who ended the season on loan at Colchester.

Verdict: One for the future – but then we have been saying that for nearly three years now. There will come a time when he will have to make the big step up – but with people like Ashton and McKenzie about he might struggle to get the chance.
