1, Queens Park Rangers 0 (December
30, 2006): Dion
Dublin’s third goal for Norwich
City finally brought a belated December
victory for their fans to celebrate
at Carrow Road. After five
matches without a win, the veteran
striker scored after 68 minutes. Dublin,
who had scored when the two sides
met in a 3-3 draw at Loftus Road in
October, produced a cool finish to
a move involving skipper Adam Drury
and fellow striker Robert Earnshaw.

Last Norwich away win:
26/12/2000 QPR 2 (Carlisle, Wardley),
Norwich 3 (Roberts 2, Marshall)
Chances: Manager
John Gregory made himself a hero to
the Loftus Road faithful last season
when he pulled Rangers away from the
relegation zone after looking doomed.
A season of struggle for Gregory and
QPR, while the close season has seen
them lose arguably their best player
in Cook to Fulham. The signing of
Daniel Nardiello from Barnsley could
see the ex-Manchester United striker
forming a lethal partnership with
Dexter Blackstock, who scored 14 goals
last season. Gregory will be determined
not to become embroiled in a relegation
battle once again. Gregory has faith
in some of his young guns like Ray
Jones, but the Hoops cannot be expecting
much more than a mid-table finish
at best. A poor start and they could
be in for a long winter.
Prediction: 22nd
