Best League Win:
9-0 v Barrow 11/10/1959 Division 4
Last meeting: Crystal Palace
3, Norwich City 1 (January 1, 2007):
Having
dominated the early stages at Selhurst
Park, City’s defence parted
like the Red Sea to allow Crystal
Palace to claim three of their easiest
goals of the season. Three first-half
chances for Palace, and three times
City’s defence collapsed like
a house of cards. Even when they looked
like getting back into the game just
before half-time through a Rob Earnshaw
penalty, the Canaries inexplicably
conceded a third goal. Full
Match Report
Last Norwich away win:
05/05/1996 Crystal Palace 0, Norwich
1 (Hopkin og)
Chances: Quiet in
the transfer market, manager Peter
Taylor will need a big improvement
on last season or outspoken chairman
Simon Jordan may wield the axe. A
lack of goals was a big issue last
campaign and Taylor will be looking
to Clinton Morrison to help fire the
side to the play-offs, although it
might be a step too far for the Londoners.
Taylor has had to cope with the loss
of winger Jobi McAnuff to Watford,
although the former England Under-21
manager still has a squad capable
of challenging for promotion. Clinton
Morrison, who almost joined the Canaries
last summer, is a good Championship
striker while Shefti Kuqi has also
scored a lot of goals at this level
in his time with Ipswich Town.
Prediction: 10th
