Last meeting: Cardiff City 1,
Norwich City 0 (March 10, 2007): A
goal from Paul Parry in only the third
minute was enough to give promotion-chasing
Cardiff City victory over the Canaries
at Ninian Park. It was a taste of
the early Bluebirds catching the worm
when Parry fired past Tony Warner
after latching on to a clearance from
Andy Hughes. Darren Huckerby had the
ball in the net in time added on at
the end of the game but his effort
was ruled out for offside. The Canaries
finished the game more brightly but
overall their eighth match in three
and a half weeks seemed to be taking
its toll. Full

Last Norwich away win:
22/04/2006 Cardiff 0, Norwich 1 (Earnshaw)
Chances: The loss
of star striker Michael Chopra came
as a massive blow to manager Dave
Jones. The former Newcastle man joined
Sunderland in a £5m deal much
to the despair of Bluebirds’
fans. Chairman Peter Ridsdale has
promised that Jones will have money
made available to him to stregthen
the side but it will be difficult
to replace a striker who scored 22
goals last season. While the Bluebirds
may not have spent much in terms of
transfer fees, the cash has been splashed
on wages to entice the likes of Fowler
and Sinclair to Ninian Park. Manager
Jones has Championship know-how and
after his side fell away badly after
leading during the early part of the
season, he will call on the likes
of Fowler to guide some of his younger
stars to at least the play-offs.
Prediction: 7th
