Clubs learn FA Cup fate
The draws for the early rounds of the FA Cup have thrown up the possibility of an intriguing local derby. Should Dereham beat Leiston at home and Wroxham win away at Wellingborough Town in their extra preliminary round ties on August 15 they will then meet at Aldiss Park in the next stage of the competition two weeks later.

All change in Rogers & Norton league
The Rogers and Norton Norwich Business Houses Football League held its Annual General Meeting at Trowse White Horse on the 17th May; guest was Shaun Turner, chief executive for the Norfolk County FA, he outlined the new proposed re-structure for local football leagues and also the “Respect” campaign, he then answered questions from the floor.

Happy homecoming for Lynn reject Crane
New Lowestoft Town defender Greg Crane admitted it was an easy decision to move - after he found out about his King's Lynn future in the EDP. Crane and Wroxham defender Matthew Halliday were unveiled this week by the Trawlerboys management duo, Micky Chapman and Ady Gallagher, as they prepare for life in Ryman League Division One North.

Mr Sunday football to step down
After helping to found the Norwich Sunday League 50 years ago and running it ever since, Alan Williams has more than earned the title of 'Mr Sunday Football'. But the season just ended was his last in the pivotal role of secretary of the league. ROB GARRATT spoke to him about his life in football.

City announce pre-season friendlies
Norwich City are to play friendly matches against three local teams who are celebrating their 125th anniversaries this year. The Canaries have included money-spinning games against Fakenham Town, Dereham Town and Thetford Town in July as part of their build-up to the 2009-10 season.
